Alliance for Cyber Risk Governance
Thank you again to everyone who came out to the Alliance for Cyber Risk Governance inaugural conference. The conference was step one; we have more work ahead of us. The challenge we heard repeatedly throughout the day is a need to make cyber risk more understandable to business people. Even if you weren’t in the room, it’s hard to disagree with this statement.
Stop the Insanity - It's Time to Standardize Cyber Risk Governance
Cyber risks and threats are increasing, and our current approaches aren’t working. We’re fighting a ground war when cyber security is beginning to go nuclear.
It’s time to take a stand for our industry and our companies by elevating our game – creating an Alliance for Cyber Risk Governance. We’ll bring the best minds to the table and align around a standard framework any company can use to measure, report, and govern risk. The Alliance will be a non-profit organization to advocate for change, shape the public discourse through ongoing thought leadership, and lead development of the framework.
The Alliance for Cyber Risk Governance: What's Next?
The inaugural conference on November 2, 2017 saw attendees and leading cybersecurity and risk management companies reaffirm the need to create a more practical framework for reporting and measuring risk. The day-long event generated meaningful discussion and initial recommendations for the proposed framework. However, there are more discussions to be had and more work to do.
We invite you be part of the ACRG LinkedIn Group where we’ll continue the discussion and provide more information on working groups and actions to help get the framework off the ground.
